Fat injections in areas of the face can restore volume and improve wrinkles and asymmetries.
In the first stage the fat is harvested using the liposuction technique. After that its been processed and immediately injected in the areas to be treated. Liposculpture as otherwise called, can be used as an adjunctive procedure to enhance the results of previously done breast reconstruction or augmentation.
The procedure is done under topical anesthesia with light sedation and if combined with other procedures such as a facelift, an overnight stay might be necessary.
Some percentage of the injected fat is reabsorbed within the first 6 months while the rest stays for permanent. Changes in body weight can alter the results.
