Facial Skin Cancer

Open wounds of the face after skin cancer removal are reconstructed using specialized techniques that respect the aesthetic units of the face.

Dr. Stavrou uses specialized techniques to remove and reconstruct facial lesions such as local flaps and skin grafts. The goal is to restore a natural look and minimize scarring.

The procedures are done infer local anesthesia with or without light sedation.

Recovery depends on the extent of the procedure. You can return to everyday activities from the 1st day after the surgery and recover full within a week. Your looks will improve gradually during the following 6-8 weeks. Small corrections of the skin scars might be needed in a later stage.

Skin care and sun protection is necessary during the recovery period.
